ReVybe IT is recruiting for a high-growth SaaS company that is currently looking for a Lead Cloud Engineer to join their team as they scale their platform engineering function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take strategic ownership of the cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security across the organisation.

  • Lead a team of DevOps and cloud engineers, setting technical direction and driving delivery standards.

  • Define and implement infrastructure strategy across multiple environments (development, staging, production).

  • Design, build, and optimise cloud-native solutions using AWS services including EKS, EC2, RDS, Lambda, and S3.

  • Lead the adoption and evolution of infrastructure as code using Terraform, focusing on reusable, scalable modules.

  • Oversee CI/CD architecture, ensuring reliable and efficient deployment pipelines with GitHub Actions.

  • Drive observability best practices across the engineering org, using tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.

  • Work closely with engineering leadership to influence cloud, security, and operational decisions at scale.

  • Champion automation and DevOps culture across product and platform teams.

  • Contribute to hiring and mentoring as the team continues to grow.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading cloud or platform engineering teams in a high-growth or SaaS environment.

  • Deep expertise in AWS cloud architecture and services (EKS, IAM, VPC, RDS, Lambda, etc).

  • Strong proficiency with Terraform in a production environment, including designing complex infrastructure modules.

  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes (EKS), containerisation, and orchestration best practices.

  • Experience designing and managing scalable CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions.

  • Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, etc).

  • Exposure to observability tooling such as Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to balance hands-on engineering with team leadership and strategy.
