Senior Azure Platform Engineer - Azure, Azure DevOps, Bicep, AKS, Docker
Central London - 1 day a week in the office
£85,000 - £90,000 + 10% bonus
A global Microsoft partner is looking for a Senior Azure Platform Engineer to join the established Platform team in a crucial time in the businesses growth. Having recently acquired a 500 employee business, they need to add more firepower within their Cloud Infrastructure capabilities.
Using solely Azure as a cloud provider, utilising Bicep, AKS, Docker, and Azure DevOps for CI/CD, you will be a key member of a growing team that is imperative to the companies mission.
Key responsibilities:
·Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based solutions, with a focus on platform engineering in a “DevOps” culture.
·Collaborate with developers, cloud engineers, test engineers, and project managers to implement platform engineering best practices and ensure project work is completed on time.
·Develop and maintain Azure security policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
·Implement Kubernetes to new platforms and services, to ensure efficient orchestration of containers and management of applications.
·Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform engineering and security issues.
·Stay updated with the latest Azure services, and general Microsoft technologies, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Skills required:
·5 years+ experience in platform engineering, with a speciality in the Azure Cloud Platform.
·Strong experience in containerization, understanding Docker well. Not just managing containers, but designing and deploying them too.
·Strong knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Service, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking.
·Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell or Azure CLI.
·Strong experience in building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
·Familiarity with infrastructure as code tooling such as Bicep (what they are using), Terraform, or ARM.
·Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
