Senior DevOps Engineer – Serverless

£90,000 - £100,000 per annum + Share Options
A SaaS start-up business is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer who is highly capable with serverless technologies within AWS, as well as a strong background in software development. They use TypeScript so experience with that flavour of JavaScript would be advantageous, although good experience in another software development language such as Python or Java is also helpful.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure using serverless architecture on AWS
- Develop and maintain deployment pipelines using AWS Lambda, TypeScript, CDK, and Jenkins
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of software projects
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to infrastructure and deployment
- Continuously improve DevOps processes and tools to increase efficiency and productivity
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the team
Skills needed:
- Extensive experience working as a DevOps Engineer in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with serverless architecture, AWS, Lambda, software development, and Jenkins
- Proficient in scripting and automation using tools such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and best practices. Either Jenkins or CodePipeline would be advantageous
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Prometheus
